What is Dit Da Jow?Dit Da Jow has been used for over a thousand years in China. It is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and was used by Shaolin monk martial artists for the treatment of muscle soreness, bruises, contusions, iron palm, conditioning and toughening of the limbs and traditional bonesetting by Chinese medicine physicians. Dit Da Jow is a liniment which literally means 'fall and strike wine' made from Chinese herbs and soaked in alcohol. It is not for drinking however, only for external use. Dit Da Jow is a unique mixture of many aromatic herbs which are combined to stimulate circulation, reduce pain and swelling, and improve healing of injuries. Different types of Jow can be made from different combinations (recipes) of herbs. Iron Palm jow for example contains herbs traditionally used to strengthen the skin, connective tissue and toughen bones.

Do you provide full instructions?Yes - we provide full instructions. You will also require a 5 litre glass jar and around 5 litres of high grade alcohol. We provide you with the details on where to obtain both. Our instructions are detailed and provide two methods to decoct and create your own Dit Da Jow. One method uses heat and enables you to produce a Dit Da Jow that can be used in as little as two weeks. The other method is a more traditional extraction method and enables you to produce a Dit Da Jow which can be used from around 12 weeks.

Where are the herbs from and how is the liniment (Dit Da Jow) made? All herbs are authentic non-toxic plant based herbs sourced from authorised Australian Chinese herbal suppliers (importers & wholesalers).. Our two suppliers only source approved quality assured herbs which have been certified free of pesticides and contaminants. All herbs are plant based only and do not include insects, contaminants or any animal products.

How strong are Red Chi Dit Da Jow kits? Our 'Nine Tiger' Dit Da Jow liniment for example uses over 1 kilogram of the 35 different Chinese herbs to produce 5 litres of liniment and takes around 2 years for full potency to occur. That is a massive amount of herbs and guarantees that Red Chi Dit Da Jow kits are the best and most potent you can buy.

Are there animal products in the Liniments? The only liniment that contains animal products is the Ku Yu Cheung Iron Palm Liniment. All other liniments and oils are 100% plant material. None of these products were tested on animals, but they were all tested on me.

How do I apply the IRON PALM Dit Da Jow (liniment)?Use the Iron Palm Jow (liniment) by pouring a small amount (a capful) into your palm and rubbing it into the area you want to condition. eg hands, forearms etc. Rub in before and after your training and leave it on for at least 30 minutes before washing your hands or showering so it can soak into the skin.
-
Can the liniments be used by children?Children have delicate skin and developing bones. Under the age of 16, general bruise healing liniments and muscles soreness should be healed using a non-alcohol based healing liniment, not the alcohol based Dit Da Jows. We recommend the Kutus Kutus Oil for healing bruises and muscle soreness in children. We do not recommend the practice of Iron Palm (or the use of Iron Palm liniments) for children under the age of 16. PLEASE KEEP ALL PRODUCTS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

What if I have an allergic reaction? As with any liniment, you should apply a small amount to the skin and wait 24 hours to see if you have a reaction. If you have an allergic reaction, you should cease using the product immediately. There are no peanut products in any of the liniments.

What if I experience skin irritation?Because the extraction medium is around 70% alcohol, the alcohol will possibly dry your skin out. This happens particularly during the winter time or sometimes with older folks whose skin is not as thick as it used to be. It is extremely important not to apply the Jow if you have scraped or broken the skin. Do not train to the point of breaking the skin because it will set your training back greatly as you will not be able to apply the jow. If you get a rash, discontinue until the rash is gone, then gradually re-apply a little per day. Before going to bed in the evening, apply some skin moisturiser or a product called INVITE Vitamin E Oil which you can obtain from most chemists. It's an awesome product for repairing skin damaged by dryness or rash. I use it periodically with great results.
-
Why do we use glass bottles? We suggest using glass bottles so the purity of the herbs is maintained and is not affected by the leaching of chemicals from plastic containers into the dit da jow.
-
Do we accept returns? If you are unsatisfied with your herb kit for whatever reason, you can return it for a 100% refund. The herb kit must be un-used and in original heat-sealed packaging.
